Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Integrative Genomics group at the Earlham Institute. I work on the exciting subject of omics data integration, developing computational tools for combined analysis of transcriptomics and metabolomics data, as well as applying statistical methods to analyse genomic data.

I trained as a Computer Scientist, starting with a Bachelor’s in Engineering, followed by a Master’s in the subject of content-based image retrieval. During my PhD at the University of East Anglia, my research focused on the subject of colour constancy, specifically on the problem of illuminant estimation.

I am passionate about pattern recognition and knowledge discovery, especially on their practical applications to everyday activities to make people’s lives better. I am also interested in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital image processing.
