Group activities.

Global climate change has profound consequences on the living organisms as they have to adapt to new environmental constraints to survive. In this context our group is interested in understanding the molecular and evolutionary basis of environmental adaptation and phenotype changes in mammals. 

Our approach combines comparative functional genomics and population genomics using different closely related rodent species to study the adaptation to arid environment. With these approaches we want to answer the questions of the nature of the genomic locus, genomic changes and evolutionary process involved in environmental adaptation and the genomic and evolutionary mechanisms of parallel adaptation to a similar environment.
