Shannon Newton

With a degree in Forensic Science, Shannon brings a diverse laboratory background to the Earlham Institute. Specialising in various elemental analysis techniques and microbiological processes, Shannon has developed expertise in testing and experimental methodologies ranging from the analysis of nutritional supplements to the cultivation of bacteria for industrial applications.

As a Laboratory Technician at the Earlham Institute, Shannon is focused on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Science Faculty, Biofoundry, Transformative Genomics, and containment Level II laboratories. 

Collaborating closely with the Operational and Laboratory Manager, Shannon maintains daily functionality, enforces safety standards, and supports the Institute's strategic science programs.
