I am a Norwich Research Park Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership (NRPDTP) PhD student working in Jose de Vega’s group.

My work is focussed on the genomics of wildflowers as crop species. Working with the Eden Project National Wildflower Centre, using genomic, transcriptomic and bioinformatic tools to identify genetic bottlenecks and phenotyping to characterise fitness effects inherent in the sourcing and commercialisation of native UK wildflower seeds.

Prior to joining the Earlham Institute, I completed a masters in Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants at the University of Edinburgh and another in Plant Biology, Genomics and Biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My latest thesis used phylogenetic comparative methods to characterise the relationship between fruit traits and elevation preference in Alpine Asteraceae.
